Means of Urban Transport

INTRODUCTION

On 12 October 2013, the Post Office of Moldova (Poșta Moldovei) issued a series of postage stamps with the title Means of Urban Transport. The issue comprises three stamps, with associated cancellation (postmark) and first day cover (FDC). The designer was Vitaliu Pogolşa. The printing was performed by Nova Imprim, Chişinău.

The Chișinău trolleybus system forms an important part of the public transport network in Chișinău, the capital of the Republic of Moldova. The system was created shortly after the end of the World War II to replace the old electric tram system that suffered extensive damages during the war.
