Portraits of Children

INTRODUCTION

On 4 February 2012, the Post Office of Moldova (Poșta Moldovei) issued a series of postage stamps with the title Portraits of Children. The issue comprises four stamps, with associated cancellation (postmark) and first day cover (FDC). The designer was Oleg Cojocaru. The printing was performed by Nova Imprim, Chişinău.

Igor Vieru (December 23, 1923 – May 24, 1988) was a painter from Moldova. The artist's home, in Cernoleuca has become a museum, where visitors can get acquainted with Igor Vieru's art.
