Winter Olympic Games, Vancouver 2010


INTRODUCTION

On 12 February 2010, the Post Office of Moldova (Poșta Moldovei) issued a series of postage stamps with the title Winter Olympic Games, Vancouver 2010. The issue comprises two stamps, with associated cancellation (postmark) and first day cover (FDC). The designer was Vitaliu Pogolşa. The printing was performed by Tipografia Centrală, Chişinău.

The 2010 Winter Olympics, officially known as the XXI Olympic Winter Games or the 21st Winter Olympics, were a major international multi-sport event held from February 12 to February 28, 2010, in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, with some events held in the suburbs of Richmond, West Vancouver and the University Endowment Lands, and in the resort town of Whistler.  Read more..
